Kiwanis Club Of Kingston Youth Excellence Awards

 Kiwanis Club of Kingston held its annual Youth Excellence Awards on September 21 2010.  The winners were:
  • Robert Williams, 21 who received $50,000 towards tertiary education
  • Shantayae Grant, 18 who received the top award for academics
  • Ethan Dixon, 19 who received the top award for arts
  • Shanique Austin, 18 who received the top award for leadership
  • Samar Samuels, 21 who received the top award for sports
  • Jermaine Blake, second place for arts
  • Shannon Grant, second place for leadership
  • Malysha Kelly, second place for sports
  • Michelle Ann Gabadon, second place for academics
"The Youth in Excellence project has been in existence since 1998 and is open to applicants between the ages of 13 to 25. It is an initiative taken by the Youth Services committee of the Kiwanis Club of Kingston with the main objectives being to identify and recognize Jamaican youngsters who have achieved excellence in the arts, leadership, sports, and academics."
